About me
Who is Antares Yuan?
I am a 2nd year college student at University of Washington, major in Human Centered Design & Engineering (HCDE). Specialized in design, I have a large range of skillset from website development to data analysis. As an intermediate in product development, one can well understand the data of the research team and the product direction, incorporate quantitative thinking in the design process, continuously optimize the product, and interface with the front-end team in a development-friendly manner. After school, he is also a art lover with experience in a large range of form of art.
Industry
My product design journey began in March 2021. While still in high school, I joined WooHoo as a product designer and led the development of an high school alumni networking app. During the summer before my freshman year, I co-founded Hypha, an NFT artist communication platform. I oversaw art IP creation and end-to-end interaction design, helping the company generate $11,000 in revenue.
In Q2 2024, I partnered with three HCDE graduate students to design EVALV’s EV adapter rental app, now slated for launch on the App Store. At the same time, I joined Acumenbot’s design and marketing team to craft their AI smart speaker system and official website. In Q3 2024, I launched Antares UX Design Lab on social media to share daily UI challenges, UX insights and B2B platform analyses. By Q4 2024, I had joined SeeMuseums’ B2B group to design the Museum Toolkit.
In Q1 2025, in collaboration with Jonathan Tao, I helped Upcraft to refine its design system. In Q2 2025, I transitioned to SeeMuseums’ B2C team as a core designer on the Pocket Guide App. Upon its debut on Product Hunt, the app was named Product of the Day and ranked number one for User Experience and number one in the Education category. At the same time, I joined SVIM as a design intern and focused on the interface of the company’s trading platform.
Academia
Being a HCI (Human computer interaction) researcher, I am currently an undergraduate research assistant @ The User Empowerment Lab.

In my spare time, I like to explore a variety form of arts. In recent years, I have explored many 3D modeling and rendering software, such as Nomad, Rhino, Unreal Engine, etc. I am currently learning Rive and Spline. I also enjoy making my own art installations and physical products.
At the same time, I am a photography enthusiast, particularly in Astrophotography and landscape photography. My photography works have also won awards in international photography competitions held in Japan. I also like to draw some illustrations and create NFT art.
Apart from art, I am also planning to learn more technology, so that I can have the ability to bring my ideas to life : )
